Become a Muscle Warrior and take part in the Muscle Help Foundation's fantastic next event; with all proceeds helping to achieve 'Muscle Dreams' for young sufferers with the debilitating muscle wasting disease, Muscular Dystrophy. Muscle Warriors™ 10 Run + Guinness World Record Attempt – Sat 5th June at Haileybury – the event includes: · Guinness World Record attempt in partnership with National Family Week (largest 3-legged race across multiple venues in the UK) · 10K Run for those serious runners comprising 2 undulating laps of a 5k course · Family Fun-tastic Day including concessions, activities and entertainment for all the family · 2k Fancy Dress (inclusive) Toddle for all ages and abilities, plus a Teddy Bear’s Picnic The event takes place in the stunning grounds of Haileybury in Hertford Heath – we are aiming to raise £10,000 for The Muscle Help Foundation (a local charity based in Buntingford) – the monies raised from this day will go towards funding the delivery of more Muscle DreamsTM. There are four price points: £15.00 per runner for the 10k Run, £20.00 per family to incl 1 runner in 10k Run, £5.00 per individual on the day, £10.00 per family (up to 6 members) on the day, no concessions |

Wow, what a Monday! I met TV Presenter Lorraine Kelly, who is Patron of the wonderful charity 'The Muscle Help Foundation' through which I have had the pleasure of being involved with over the last 18 months. I presented Lorraine with a gift of a pop-art inspired portrait which she generously signed and donated to the charity as a future auction item to raise further funds for the charity. The Muscle Help foundation is a small but growing charity that delivers 'Muscle Dreams' which are unforgettable experiences for children and young people in the UK who have the progressive muscle wasting disease, Muscular Distrophy. It's that time of year!.... the last of the be-jewelled christmas trees have been taken down and it's 'back to reality'!! New Year, new you?!!!New gym membership, job, blah blah blah!! not sure how well New Year's resolution's actually work... but how about this... I've been reading 'Every Day Wisdom for Success' by Dr Wayne W Dyer (a lovely little pocket sized book full of useful and positive quotes).... How about if we are all a bit kinder to ourselves this year, less judgemental for a change...'why not think about some things you've never done before and do them simply because you've never done them and for no other reason?' and .... 'The more you extend kindness to yourself, the more it will become your automatic response to others' Happy New Year everyone 2010!!!... I hope this year brings lots of happiness and fun your way x |
